Packing seal composition in the reactor

Nov 30, 2019

The reactor stuffing box is composed of a box, a packing, an oil ring, a bushing, a gland and a pressing bolt. When the reactor is rotated and pressed, the gland presses the packing to deform the packing and adhere to the surface of the shaft to achieve the sealing purpose. In the chemical reactor production, the shaft seal of the reactor is easy to leak. Once the toxic gas escapes, it will pollute the environment, so it is necessary to control the pressing force of the reactor. If the pressing force is too large, the friction between the shaft and the packing increases when the shaft rotates, which will accelerate the wear. Regularly adding lubricant to the filling of the reactor can reduce the friction in the reactor and reduce the excessive pressing force of the bolt. The friction generated is hot. The filler is rich in elasticity and has good wear resistance and thermal conductivity. The elastic deformation of the reactor packing is large, so that the packing is close to the rotating shaft, and the shrinking force is generated on the rotating shaft, and the packing is required to have a sufficient number of turns. In use, due to wear, the filler should be properly added to adjust the pressing force of the bolt to achieve the sealing effect.
