Formaldehyde production equipment is to some extent the most advanced type of formaldehyde plant. The catalyst, control system, process route and preparation of the equipment have obvious advantages over the traditional process. The methanol is pumped into the evaporator. The device is a combination of a tube heat exchanger and a gas-liquid separator. The tube heat exchanger tube is heated with 0.2 Mpa of steam between the methanol tubes.In general, the evaporator pressure is controlled at 0.1 Mpa and the amount of methanol added is 458 kg methanol/ton formaldehyde.

At this time, the temperature at the top of the evaporator is about 80° C. The vaporized methanol gas must also be kept in the jacket before entering the mixer to prevent condensation.The air (in 600M3/hr.t. formaldehyde) is sent to the air preheater by the Roots blower and the temperature reaches 110°C after entering the mixer.Appropriate addition of steam, the amount can be added to make the methanol concentration of 65 to 72%, into the mixer, after normal production, the conditions are in a stable state.

Process characteristics of formaldehyde production equipment

Methanol is vaporized into methanol gas by heating, and the control system controls the reaction temperature according to its oxygen-to-alcohol ratio so that the reaction proceeds in the best state.The exhaust gas circulation method is adopted in the process to take part of the reaction heat away from the circulating gas.The traditional process route is to take all the reaction heat away from the batch steam. Due to the use of the exhaust gas circulation method, it is possible to prepare industrial formaldehyde with different concentrations between 37 and 50% to meet the needs of different downstream products.
